Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers. With high strength, high modulus, flame resistance, strong toughness, good insulation, corrosion resistance and good weaving property, they’re mainly used in bicycle tires, marine cordage, marine hull reinforcement, extra cut proof clothes, parachute, cords, rowing, kayaking, snowboarding, packing, conveyor belt, sewing thread, gloves, audio, fiber enhancements, as an asbestos substitute and various security areas .

Performance and characteristics

High strength: 23-26D/G, the strength is 6 times that of ordinary fibers.
High temperature resistance: The long-term use temperature is 220 degrees, and it will not burn in case of fire. The maximum temperature resistance is 550 degrees, and it will not decompose or melt.
High wear resistance: Excellent wear resistance, aging resistance, longer life.
Acid and alkali resistance: Acid and alkali resistance, not easy to corrode.

Application

The dry-process aramid prepreg is specially designed for the manufacture of substrates by hot pressing.

It is the primary materials for pressing helmets and ballistic protection,  etc.
